Dodging the wintery showers and blustery winds, our go-ahead SWAMP team wrapped up warm, donned their gloves and wellingtons and hauled green bags filled with dried Crassula to the edge of Morston pond.

These green bags were then deposited into larger builder's sacks, which were then kindly driven away to be buried in the infamous 'pit' by the ever-generous Charlie Ward.

The much-welcomed recent rains (well, for nature and wildlife anyway) means the pond is gradually filling up once again. While it was beneficial for us that we had a dry surface to work away at, it is always a pleasing and agreeable sight to see the water rising.
