It was a balmy and sultry afternoon at Morston Pond as our S.W.A.M.P. community volunteers continued the general improvement of the environment around the pond. We also, carefully and studiously, kept up with removing the evasive Crassula at the drier edges of the pond.

We picked up the threads of cutting and tidying our Willow. Our aim is to design and build a natural bench - we're open to anyone who could engineer one - so that visitors (and our volunteers) can enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings.

The water level is noticeably decreasing - it's been such a dry Spring - although there is still sufficient water for the toadlets, ducks, moorhens and other creatures to be able to thrive.
