"A warm, rainy day-this is how it feels when friends get together. Friend refreshes friend then as flowers do each others, in a spring rain" Rumi

In light of the persistent high water levels in Morston Pond, our SWAMP community volunteers decisively concluded that the abundance of Crassula was intolerable and demanded immediate action. Although the Parrot's Feather continued to thrive and expand, its challenging location in the pond's deepest and most treacherous area posed a significant obstacle, even for our experienced waders.

We diligently persist in identifying the biodiversity within the pond and its vicinity, closely monitoring the species drawn to our endeavors. Our keen observations led us to discover Whisk Fern and Duckweed, previously unnoticed plants.

On solid ground, we have initiated the groundwork for an upcoming project. Local primary school children will soon be constructing a Bug Hotel on the premises. Stay tuned for further updates!
